I have a Degree in Business Administration from the University of Barcelona and a Masters in Financial Economics from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium). I worked for 3 years as a management consultant and financial analyst. I have been a full-time independent translator since 2002 and I completed my Translation and Interpreting Degree in 2012.
I'm a sworn translator & interpreter from English to Spanish. I also provide sworn translations in Spanish>English working in team with a native English-speaking translator.
I regularly work on projects for, amongst others, insurance companies, banks, consulting firms, investment funds and other companies from a wide range of sectors. Some recent projects include:
- Audited Annual Financial Statements of a major investment fund manager (from English to Spanish, 21,000 words);
- Internet platform of a major distributor of press releases and financial information for listed companies (French to Spanish, 10,500 words);
- Newsletters from the Economic Analysis Committee of the French Prime Minister's Office (from French to Spanish, 3,500 words / newsletter);
- Annual report of a real-estate company (German to Spanish, 9,700 words).
I use SDL Trados Studio 2014 and have years of experience working with CAT tools.
I also work part-time as a project manager.
- English: I have translated / reviewed over 420,000 words from English over the past 24 months. I worked for a US company for over 2 years and lived in Ireland for a year. I also regularly spend time there.
- German: I have translated / reviewed over 140,000 words from German over the past 24 months. I lived in Switzerland for a year where I studied German at the University of Fribourg.
- French: I have translated / reviewed over 160,000 words from French over the past 24 months. I lived in French-speaking countries for over 5 years.
Good computer skills, regular user of Office and Trados.
